My Best Friend
Man is a social animal. He can’t live alone. He wants a companion to share his joys and sorrows of life. A true friend is a need of life. He serves as a tonic of life. He always stands by through thick and thin. He is a source of inspiration and helps to make life noble and virtuous. Such friends are not easy to come by in life. Fortunately I have one such type of friend. His name is Gaurav.
Gaurav is my class-fellow. He is of my age. He belongs to a noble family. His father is a doctor. His mother is a college teacher. He is the only son of his parents. He often comes to our house. We study together. He is a polite boy. He never quarrels with anybody. He is very helpful to his friends. He is respectful to his elders. His teachers speak high of him.
Gaurav is very good at studies. He always stands first in the class. He is very punctual for his school. He always follows the rules of good conduct. He does not waste his free periods. He visits library regularly. He reads latest journals. His knowledge is up to date. He loves to share his knowledge with his friends. He takes part in Quiz competitions. He has bagged a lot of prizes also. He has qualities of both head and heart.
Gaurav knows the value of games. Therefore he takes part in games also. He is a good player of cricket. He has played in many cricket tournaments. The game of cricket has made him gentle and quiet. It has made him frank and free. There is always a child like smile on his face. He is really a gem. He is a pride not only of his family but also of his school.
