Trust
Trust is the very thing that everybody in this world desires, or at least should desire from one another. Who wants to have a friendship or relationship without trust? Nobody does. Without trust, there is no relationship of any kind. Trust is defined as confidence in a person or thing. Trust means that you are confident that you can rely on a person to be truthful and act with integrity. Trust gives you the feeling of security.
Trust is hard to gain and easy to lose. Learning how to trust people at an early age can lead to wonderful hips throughout life. According to The American Dictionary trust has many definitions. These include firm reliance on the integrity or ability of a person or thing, something committed into the care of another, to rely or depend on, to expect with assurance, and to believe in.
When the trust has been broken, in any type of relationship, it can take a very long time to regain it, and sometimes it may never be completely restored. Betrayal of Trust often creates reactionary negative emotions such as anger, jealousy, hurt, fear and even revenge on the person betrayed. The most dominant one is hurt, and as humans, when someone hurts us we also want them to feel the pain and hence the thirst for revenge. To trust someone is to be open and honest with them, especially if it pertains to another individual whom one is close to.
Trust is difficult to gain, and can be lost in an instant. It is the most important part of our relationships. It is the basis of love, friendship, and any other positive relationship that people share. We need trust in our loved ones and co-workers. There may be situations in life when we may have to trust even a complete stranger. It plays a huge role in our daily lives, and is irreplaceable. Trust is an amazingly powerful emotion that is enormously important to the bond between anyone.
