Relocating to new city

Dad got transferred to Mumbai from Ahmedabad last year. I didn’t want to leave my old school or my friends and move to Mumbai. However, all my friends were very excited about me going to Mumbai, after all Mumbai is the most famous city of India.

I miss Ahmedabad and the leisurely ‘chai-nashtha’ which is so much a part of Ahmedabad culture. No matter how busy you are there is always time for tea and snacks. In Mumbai, everybody is always on the go. It’s like there is no time to sit still.

The new school in Mumbai is better than I could have imagined. There are roller skating classes, music classes, and carpentry classes as well. Students in my class are from different states of India, yet there is a bonding between everybody. Although I miss Ahmedabad, Mumbai is beginning to grow on me.
