Water, soon a scarcity?

The part of Mumbai that I live in has water cuts. We get water for only two hours in the morning. We have to store water and make it last the whole day. Water is a necessity. We cannot live without it. The plants can’t live without it and the animals can’t live without it either.

There are many countries in the world already facing water shortage. With decrease in the rainfall over the years, and increase in the overall global warming it has lead to become important that we save water. It can a time in the near future when there will not be enough water to drink.

Think before you throw water. Recycle water. If you have plants use drainage water to irrigate them. The plants won’t mind and you will be saving fresh water. Leaking taps should go. They are the no. 1 enemy of water conservation. In the rainy season, every building should harvest its own rain water. Little steps could go a long way in conserving our limited fresh water resources.
