Smart Studying
Studying smart’ is an expression often used by students, parents and teachers. It literary means studying in an intelligent and effective way.
Not all methods of studying are intelligent and effective. A student who does not pay attention in classroom or who does not do his homework on time is certainly not smarter and interested in studies. He will not learn efficiently and his grades will suffer. The result of this is that he will not be able to keep up with his classmates. Even if he goes for a private tuition, he will struggle to catch up, even if he tries hard.
Thus, the first thing about studying smart is to pay fullest attention when a lesson is first being taught in class. By paying attention, learning will be quick, effective and long lasting. Asking questions and solving quarries helps in understanding the concept. The teacher will be pleased to help. Completing homework and assignment on time will avoid an accumulation of pending work. One can remain ready for the next lesson.
Being up to date with our schoolwork means, the student does not require private coaching or assistance on any subject. This saves money of his parents and we will have time for leisure and different recreational activities.
Continuous revision from course books and other associate books is essential these days. Using them with care is also important. However, learning from too many books only adds to confusion and consumes precious time.
Finally, knowing the format of the examinations and practicing the previous years’ question papers help the students in familiarizing with them. When the actual examinations come, we will know how to handle the questions.
