Since ancient times for securing shelter and protection, man has constructed different kinds of structure according to his needs. In order to fulfil his religious, cultural, economic and political needs he has built various structures. One can get different types of information from the structures. The system of water conservation of Devgiri castle during Yadav period is outstanding. The Gond kings made Lake Malgujara in the forest. Moghuls created several wells and water mills in Aurangabad. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj built Gangasagar Lake in Raigad fort. One finds reservoirs in different castles. Ahilyabai Holkar built hundreds of ghats in the country. All these water structures were useful for to conserve water. Thus, India possesses heritage of water related constructions. A building specially made for physical exercise is known as a gymnasium. In 1811, German educationalist Fredrick Khan erected the first modern gymnasium in Berlin. In India, the tradition of gymnasium is ancient. Sports like wrestling are mentioned in epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata. Even during the Maratha period, gymnastic and physical exercises were given importance. Shahu Maharaj encouraged wrestling. Today in India different exercises are practiced and performed. Due to rapid development of urbanization and industrialization, different factories are started in India. By using modern technology, various industrial goods are produced.
