What Do You Know About Evolution?

A theory of evolution has been developed, in an effort to explain the very existence of the body structures around us. These are living things complicated in nature. There are two schools of thought, those for and others who do not accept; as they feel that goes against what is written in the Bible.

According to the theory of evolution the animals and plants developed in the world in a natural way. The earlier forms were simpler and these developed from still simpler ancestors, and so on, still back through many millions of years to the beginning, when life was in the very simplest form, a tiny mass of Jelly like protoplasm. The Man too developed like-wise from the simpler form as the modern one-hoofed horse descended from a small five-toed ancestor.

The evolution did take place. the depend on three chiefs “signs”. The first is the fossil remains of animals and plants of earlier ages. These fossils appear to trace steps of evolution at work. The fossil remains of primitive men have been found that relate to the period about 1,000,000 years ago. The crablike animal fossils refer to nearly 500,000,000 years ago. The fish fossils appear to have developed in the waters of the earth before amphibians, followed by reptiles, birds, and so on. Thus life has progressed from one to another.

Another ‘sign’ in support of evolution originates from this study of embryology. This is in respect of the growth of a new living string from an egg. The development of the chick from the egg of a hen. There is a time when the embryo is like a fish and later like an amphibian, passing further to reptile stage and finally into the bird form. The unborn of all animals pass through the same kind of process and repeat their history of development.

The third ‘sign’ is the bodies of living animals. The bone and muscle structure in the paddles of a turtle, the birds wings, the whale flippers, the front legs of a horse, the arms of a man are all similar in structure. There are many organs in man’s body that appear to have no use and are possibly the relics handed down to them by their ancestors. These ‘signs’ lead to the theory of evolution.
