Autobiography of A Personal Computer
I am a personal computer that Arul’s father had gifted him on his 12th birthday. I have been kept on a separate work table. I am also given the broadband internet connection allowing access to the World Wide Web. Microsoft Windows and video games have also been installed in my system. Arul keeps on fiddling with my keyboard to play installed, downloaded, and pre-recorded games. He hardly uses me for his study-related internet surfing. However, his parents use me for their day-to-day work including, surfing, emails, watching films, and telephoning.
Arul’s friends press my keys carelessly and so hard that I get hurt. Once, he had to call an engineer to repair and infuse a new life in me. But as if they are not made to change, continue to trouble me. I think Arul will feel sorry for me when someday I will give up to never ever regaining consciousness again.
