A Real Friend

Friends are the most precious people we have in our lives. It is however, very difficult to find a true friend. If one observes closely, he/she may realise that from among the bunch of friends, only one or two may be real friends. A real friend stands by you when you are wrong, he doesn’t need to identify himself when he calls, he asks you about your life and what is new with you, knows your problems, likes/ dislikes, loves you in his heart and has wet shoulders from your tears. It is famously said, ‘Pick your friends; don’t let your friends pick you.’

To find a real friend, one has to be a true friend himself. Listen to others and feel for them. Share your feelings and be loyal to those who believe and trust you. Understand that since we ourselves are not perfect, we can’t expect perfection in others. Accept your true friend for what he is and earn yourself his invaluable friendship.
