Hornbill Festival
The Hornbill Festival is held in Nagaland in the first week of December every year. It is called the “Hornbill” festival because the Hornbill is an important and sacred symbol for the local tribes, but interestingly, it is not about the bird species at all. Visitors enjoy the local food, dances, songs, and a host of other activities.
