Britain’s greatest battle

Britain’s National Army Museum has drawn up a list (based on contest findings) of the 20 greatest battles in the 20th century. The battles of Imphal and Kohima, both fought between March 8, 1944, and July 3, 1944, have been ranked as the fiercest getting the most votes in a public poll. This might finally bring to light some lesser-known facts about India’s decisive role in this area, which has so far gone unacknowledged.
