‘Teenage’ — the very special time when we live the most carefree years of our lives, filled with fun and new discoveries. It is however prudent to be careful as you explore the world and spread your wings. The one crucial factor in guiding the future course of your lives is good friends. Prudently view any deviation in your new teenage friends’ behaviour from the essence of goodness instilled in you by your parents/teachers. You can know them and their tastesduring the initial gatherings. Many mislead teenagers commit crimes, smoke, drink and use drugs. Actions speak louder than words. If such friends are not helping you to be the best you can be, then just back off. Whenever confused or indecisive, seek guidance from parents/teachers. At the same time, involve your energies in some group activity, whether it is a sport or music, dramatics or a part time job suiting your liking and standard in the community or at school.
