Running Errands- Earning Money
Every one of us needs money to survive. While one doesn’t get a regular job as a child, he can earn a pocket money by running errands. Instead of watching TV, playing all day long or wasting precious time at a coffee joint, one should engage in small jobs such as undertaking tuitions, supplying items to different offices, working part time in some establishment, restaurant or library, doing casual work in factories and farms, newspaper distribution, helping the illiterate to fill various application forms, direct marketing of products in demand etc. These jobs may seem insignificant but can fetch a significant amount of money.
Doing such jobs not only instils self-confidence but also teaches us the value of money and the effort that goes into every penny that our parents earn. It also enables an understanding of the way the world functions and gives us tips on how best to adjust ourselves in sync. Doing these odd jobs could supplement the parents’ income and lessen their economic burden.
Money doesn’t grow on trees. Get busy, earn it.
