No Failure, Only Results

This is the story of actor Jack Lemmon.

Way back in 1961, he had finished two plays, viz. Some Like it Hot and The Apartment. Both were magnificent hits. Then he went back to Broadway to do a play called Face of a Hero which bombed. A cruel review remarked that the play should have been called, Trace of a Zero.

When the curtain was rung down on the play, Lemmon visualized a bleak future. Tormented with worry and fear, he tossed about in his bed all night. When he opened the door the next morning, he found an envelope waiting for him.
