A beautiful dream
As I was walking down the beach, I heard the sound of someone crying. I followed the sound and found a mermaid stranded, her tail fin stuck beneath a rock. I couldn’t believe my eyes. She was the most beautiful creature, I had ever seen. Her waist long hair blew in the wind and her upper body was covered in chains made of pearls and corals. Below her waist, she glimmered in different shades of blue, green, and colours I can’t describe.
I pushed hard against the rock while she tugged her tail fin out. Finally, she was free. She removed a beautiful necklace made of corals and gave it to me. I couldn’t believe my luck. I wish I had my digital camera. No one would believe I had met a mermaid. She blew me a kiss and gracefully took a dive back into the sea. I sat there caressing my corals and suddenly woke from this beautiful dream to find much to my disappointment that it was a rosary I was caressing and not a coral necklace.
