An early morning walk

An early morning walk makes me feel fresh and energetic. Last Saturday, Dad decided to take a walk through the forest. I was excited as this meant we would get to see lots of birds and a few animals as well.

I put on my sneakers and trotted after Dad. When we reached the forest; it was alive with the chirping of different birds. Through a little opening between the branches of the banyan tree we watched the sun, a big orange ball, rising in all its glory. Flowers in different colours with different fragrances dotted the scene.

A cuckoo bird perched on a branch did a “coo-coo” as we walked past the tamarind tree and suddenly a squirrel scurrying for cover dropped its hazelnut in to my lucky hands. I was pleasantly surprised. The morning walk turned out to be better than I had imagined.
