An ideal teacher is a model of good conduct. He practices whatever he preaches. He moulds the character of his students and turns them into ideal citizens. He believes in simple living and high thinking. He is opposed to giving physical punishment to students. He tries to win the heart of his students by love and sympathy.
An Ideal teacher is conscious of his duty. He knows that he is a nation-builder. The future of the nation depends on him. He does ne give only bookish knowledge to the students. He cultivates in them the qualities of head and heart. He develops their latent qualities so that they may be well equipped to discharge their duties to the country in an able manner.
An ideal teacher is a man of moral principles. He keeps noble and high ideals before him. He never compromises with these ideals. He is always fair and square in his dealings. He loves his country and defends its culture and traditions. He is a man of word and does not waver in his commitments. He is punctual as well as regular in his work. He is a philosopher-teacher like Radha Krishnan. India needs ideal teachers for its bright future.
