Being Kind
An old lady with a big wicker basket, that she could hardly carry, was trying to cross the road. She kept trying to cross in vain.
She sat on the sidewalk and began to cry. I went up to her and said, “Aunty, may I help you?” She quickly stopped crying, wiped away her tears and said “Could you do that son?” She quickly grabbed 111 3, hand and with my help, crossed the road. When she reached the other side she thanked me profusely,
I asked her why she had cried. She said that her husband was alone at home and very ill and she had to get home fast to give him his medicine. I asked her where she lived and offered to go deliver him the medicine since I could walk faster than her. Her face immediately brightened up and she hugged me and said “God bless you son!”
