Camping in the garden

My friend Rachel’s mom brought her a tent for her birthday. After the exams, all of us friends decided to camp in her tent in the garden.

We gathered at eight in the garden stocked with food and drinks. Our parents helped us build a big bonfire. We danced in a circle around the bonfire and sang famous ‘Bollywood’ songs. After that, we sat down to eat dinner by the bonfire. Everybody had brought something different and we were spoilt for choice.

Then we cleared the area up and sat by the fire playing dumb charades. After that we played Antakshari until we began to get sleepy.

All the girls slept in the tent, while the boys slept in sleeping bags out in the open. The cool night air caressed our faces. I fell asleep counting the stars. It was a beautiful experience and I can’t wait to do it again.
