City Life
City life brings with it an image of a busy life where movement is not only nonstop but also at a fast pace. Everyone’s on the go. Buildings of various shapes and sizes, sky scrapers to single buildings, hoardings of movies and other advertisements, neon lights and of course the maddening and never ending traffic are a unique feature of city life!
City life is more progressive, more rewarding monetarily and very convenient. The work ethos is varied, the bottom line being professionalism. As compared to a rural set up, it is more organized and advanced, be it sanitation and waste disposal, construction, offices and educational institutions or recreational avenues. Transportation and communication are commendable. The medical facilities and even basics like pure drinking water are easily accessible. The cost of living is much higher though. Then again, it is not all advantages, as this zone of comfort brings with it, its own set of problems. The pollution that occurs here is phenomenal. Fresh air is a rare commodity. Open grounds for children to play are hardly seen in this concrete jungle. While medical facilities are readily available, the number of diseases due the decadent lifestyle is on the rise. Anything that you desire is available but your satisfaction levels are never met. Overuse of vehicles cause traffic jams besides the severe effect on pollution and depletion of natural resources.
Undoubtedly, city life is comfortable, more entertaining and advanced. People in the city would not dream of living in villages for more than a few days. Yet, all of us here must put in efforts to keep our city clean and green. We must take time out for ourselves and make spaces for outdoor exercise, to lead a happy life.
