Day in the Life of Bus Driver
Every morning except Sundays, the alarm rings at six o’clock in morning. He gets up tiredly. It is the start of another day transporting school kids back and forth the school.
At six-thirty, after a hurried bath, he starts his old 40-seater bus and moves off. He goes along a regular route picking up the children. Following all the traffic rules, he drives cautiously and sensibly through the roads.
He picks up the children of four different schools. He plans his drive carefully to reach the last school by seven-thirty. If he gets late in dropping the children to their respective schools for some reason he is blamed and gets severe shouting from the authorities.
At seven-thirty two, his bus is empty and soon children are in the classrooms. As the roads are less congested during this hour of the day, he parks his bus at a safe place and has his tea and breakfast at a local food stall.
At eleven-thirty, he picks up children for the afternoon session. By twelve-thirty, he drops them safely to the school. At one o’clock, he collects his first batch of children. Then he proceeds to two other schools to collect the other children. After collecting the children, he safely drops them to their home.
In the meantime, he visits his home to have his lunch and takes a nap. At three o’clock, he cleans up the bus. At four in the evening, he goes on his last round of collecting the children from a school. He safely drops them home by six.
After finishing his duty for the day, he goes home, takes a bath and has his dinner. He watches television for a while before going to bed. Thus, end yet another day in the life of a bus driver.
