Homework
I wish they would give us homework every day and keep the weekends free for us to have fun. Although everyday homework is a bit of a drudgery, it’s easy to work on the stuff that you have been taught in class the same day.
Mrs. Iyer, our English professor, loves to give us assignments on the weekends. Her assignments are usually fun as they require us to write a creative essay of some kind incorporating five new words we have learnt that week. Mr. Chatterjee teaches us Maths and gives us homework everyday and even on weekends. He says Maths is the backbone of education and has to be done everyday, day after day to keep the backbone healthy and strong. Mrs. Shrivastav teaches us history and geography and thankfully, gives us homework just twice a week and some on weekends, for the most part, she makes sure that we memorize everything during her class itself Mr. Yadav, our science teacher, believes in loads of homework throughout the week.
All said and done, homework keeps us on our toes and also keeps our minds lubricated and functioning. Though it seems like a lot of hard work it pays off in the end when you see good grades on the report card.
