How is a baby born?

I was three years old when my brother Anuj was born. One-day Mom took my hand and put it against her belly. Her belly was a little round and she told me that my little brother was in there and it would take him nine months to grow enough to get out. I thought it was pretty amazing. Mom says that only women can have babies because they have something special inside of them that makes babies grow.

In the nine months that followed my brother Anuj continued to grow from the size of a small watermelon to the size of a pumpkin. I couldn’t figure it out how Anuj could look so small on the sonogram when in reality he was making mom’s belly bulge so much.

One day, mom started getting some pains and she said that Anuj was ready to come out and it was his way of letting her know. The doctor at the hospital helped get Anuj out of Mom’s belly and when I saw him he did seem tiny after all.
