Living in a joint family

I celebrated Holi with my friend Ankit this year Ankit lives in his ancestral bungalow in Dadar. Ankit’s grandfather, grandma, 2 paternal uncles and their families all live together under one roof. Each individual family has its own bedroom but they all share a common dining area and kitchen.

It was so much fun. There were so many uncles, aunts and cousins to play with. Everybody sat together at the huge dining table. After lunch, everybody helped to clear the table and within no time at all the dishes were done. After dinner, everybody played cards. At my home, mom has to do the dishes herself, so she never gets to play with us.

I think its great living in a joint family. There are so many people to talk to and play with and to help as well.
