My Favorite Pair Of Jeans
On my thirteenth birthday, Mom got me my first pair of designer jeans. Low waist, deep blue, ribbed denim. It was amazing how they hugged my legs. I went to school wearing them. Low waist jeans were in fashion and I was so glad I finally had a pair of them. I wish I had a tattoo to show off as well.
I got a lot of compliments from my friends. I was distracted all day by my jeans. I kept fiddling with the side stitching which was a bright ochre in contrast to the blue of my jeans. There were silver studs on the pockets and from one of the pockets hung a Swiss-knife.
While riding my bicycle back home I collided with another rider and I fell forward on my knees and even got dragged for a bit. I was sure I had hurt my knees really badly because I could feel the pain. When I got hone I looked down at my knee. The denim had torn but my knee had been saved. I began to cry for my new jeans and then it dawned on me that my jeans would look better now with the hole on the knee. These jeans had not only saved my knee they had even found a way to make me look cooler. From that day on, they became my favorite pair of jeans.
