My School
Learning is a lifelong process. However, school life is a preparation to face the challenges that the world will offer us once we are out of our schools. School shapes our character, mould our mental attitudes and forms the basic principles of life.
For me the days spent in school are the happiest and the best days of my life. The very memory of school days fills my mind with sentimental memories of happy years of life.
This is my last year at school. I study in a school called Delzin Educational Academy. My school starts its classes at 9.30 a.m. We have five periods until one in noon and three periods in the afternoon. In the morning, after three periods, there is a short recess while the long recess is for thirty minutes starting from 1 p.m. during which we take our lunch. The school gets over at 4 p.m.
On every alternate day, we have computer classes, while once in a week there is a period for handicraft and creative activities. Students also participate in co-curricular activities like scouting, guide and school band. Moreover, environmental club, social service group, etc. are other actives that are run by my school. I take part in most of the activities. Different competitions, tournaments, cultural shows, outings, picnics, etc. has made my school life lively, interesting and enjoyable since years.
The key functions of my school are School Annual Sports day, Parents’ Day, Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day, Founder’s Day, Republic Day, Independence Day, etc. These are celebrated in a grand manner providing many opportunities for the progress of students’ inborn abilities, creativity and skills. However, I will miss everything once I complete this year.
Academic excellence has been the hallmark of my school. Great emphasise is laid on academic pursuits in my school. Monthly tests and quarterly examinations are held. Those, who perform badly in these tests and examinations, are severely cautioned. In some cases, parents are also called. Additional classes are allotted for these students so that they get an opportunity to make their doubts clear.
What I have learnt during my schooling years will remain with me for the rest of my life. The authorities of my school try to instill in us, the basic values of life such as, discipline, morality, obedience, punctuality, dutifulness, respect to elders, being good-mannered, personal cleanliness, etc.
A lot of emphasis is given to character formation, moral education and acquiring good principles of life. Importance is also given to the attainment of personal discipline. During my school life, I have turned to be self-controlled and self-guiding boy. I accept different challenges of life without hesitation. All these have made my school life a very inspiring experience for me. I am proud to belong to such a noble and worthy institution.
Recalling fond memories of those former days brings a smile to my face. They continue to fill me with higher spirit, energy and enthusiasm.
