My School Library
A library is the soul and spirit of a school. It is a place where a large number of books are kept. Books are numbered and placed under different heads. They belong to various subjects. They are preserved in shelves and almirahs. There are a number of newspapers and magazines.
Our school has a big library. It is housed in a big building. It is a separate wing of the school. Our library has about twenty thousand books. New books keep coming. Our library subscribes to ten newspapers and ten periodicals. Each student can draw two books at a time. But books have to be returned after two weeks. However they can be again issued.
Our library is divided into sections. One section is meant for the teaching staff. In the other section newspapers and magazines are placed for students. The third section is for reading purpose. Students can read books and take down notes. In the middle is situated the office of the librarian. The library staff is very helpful. They help the students to locate a book in no time.
Our library has helped the students in many ways. The students do not waste their free time. They visit the library in their free period. It has developed in them the habit of reading. Our library has made the students disciplined. They observe silence in the library. They get books issued at their turn. They wait patiently for their turn. The atmosphere in the library is really helpful to students who are interested in studies.
