Only a miracle could save him
Our class had gone for an excursion to Shamira Hill. Our teacher Mr. Francis warned us not to wander. The task that day was rock climbing and some of us who had already finished our turn decided to take a walk. We came across a tree with mangoes. We thought it would be fun to eat some of its fruit. The fruit laden branches hung over a cliff. However, the prospect of eating the mangoes was too tempting.
Nimble Balu swiftly scaled the tree and very soon he was throwing mangoes and we started picking them. Suddenly, we heard a rustle and something cracked. When we looked up we found Balu hanging precariously to a branch. If he let go, he would go over the cliff and it was a good 10-meter drop. It seemed only a miracle could save him. We began to shout for help.
The teacher came and quickly climbed up the tree and pulled Balu to safety. We nicknamed Mr. Francis ‘the miracle man’ after that incident.
