Paradise And Hell: Do They Really Exist?
All religions with an exception of perhaps Scientology, believe in Heaven and Hell, though their description may vary. Some religions believe in the concept of goodness and punishment of sins but in an abstract sense without any concrete picture of a glorious paradise or a fiery hell.
The ancient scriptures speak of it and the God fearing believe it without questioning. As mentioned earlier, scientology, a cult religion believes in re-incarnation but does not believe in Heaven or Hell. Other religions like Hinduism or Buddhism believe in afterlife but also believe in the concept of Swarga (Heaven) and Naraka (Hell). Christians and Muslims also believe in the Judgment Day. Heavens are considered to rule from the skies; with nothing but happiness all around and where the good people of the Earth reach after death and become one with God. Sinners on the other hand, reach Hell which is in the underworld and is as torturous as torture can be. The sinners are made to atone for their sins and then are sent back to the Earth in a new life till they get an entry to Paradise.
I have been a total believer of the concept of Paradise and Hell and rebirth even though it does not play on my psyche. I do not know what to expect, but there has to be atonement, for everything has to even out someday.
