Parents
Parents are the most valuable part of life that God could ever give to a child. Many children around the world are fortunate to have caring and loving parents. Parents love their children more than their own lives and are very affectionate, loving and caring.
Parents are the first school in which a child receives the basic values and morals of a good life. Children learn from them good manners, discipline, obedience and honesty. Respect towards poor and the needy is an important quality instilled in children by some parents. Parents are the guiding force of their children’s life. They are always ready to help them out in difficult situations and problems. Children feel protected, cohesive and secured while living with their parents.
Parents make their best efforts to protect their children from everything that can adversely affect them. They are always eager to provide them with good food, clothes, advice, education and many other things.
Just like teachers at school, even parents at home play an important role in developing the character and personality of their children. From childhood, they lay down the foundation of child’s thinking. Some parents are great disciplinarians, dedicated towards their children and completely selfless. They never care for their personal needs, comforts and happiness. They are always ready to sacrifice their own wishes and requirements for the sake of fulfilling the wishes and needs of their children. There are parents who never make any difference between their children.
They love them equally. Some overprotective parents remain in constant worries for their children’s safety and happiness. They stay alert all night to look after their sick child. When something wrong is done by their children, good parents explain very patiently, why it is wrong. Parents help children to pick up good habits. Even children find peace, prosperity, care and love staying with them.
Every night most of the parents sit together after dinner and watch selected television programmes with their children. This is the time when children feel more cohesive with their parents. This further helps to strengthen the bond between them.
We must obey, respect and love our parents, as we are always dear and precious to them. We should thank God for giving us affectionate and kind-hearted parents.
