Road safety

Everyday many people lose their lives because of road accidents. If everybody follows the traffic rules there will be no accidents. One must be careful while crossing the road making sure to use the zebra crossing. One must never dash across a road. Before crossing one must take care to carefully look left and right for oncoming vehicles and cross only when it is safe to do so.

When travelling by car we must take care to wear our seat belts. A sudden break applied by the driver could send us lurching against the windscreen.

While getting off the school bus we should take care to get off after the bus has come to a halt and not while the bus is in motion. Once a boy in my class tried getting off the moving bus and he fell down and hurt himself badly. If we follow the traffic rules and cross only when the traffic light is green a lot of lives could be saved.
