The Last Journey

The last journey brings to mind a sense of morbidity and a lump in one’s throat. It is a time when logic fails you and panic engulfs you though the person on his last journey is blissfully unaware.

Michael Jackson’s last journey was one that moved millions and millions of people all over the world. His death was a sad story for a man who had given so much to the world and had got so much of suffering in return. Beginning his career at the tender age of six, this child prodigy grew up to rule the music charts. Earning the much deserved title of the “King of Pop”, Michael Jackson won the hearts of the world with his songs, music videos and dance moves. His beautiful and shy smile won the goodwill of people everywhere, till he suddenly became a controversial figure. The media played havoc into his life and though he was acquitted of all crimes that he was charged with and despite having a large family, he was never the same again. His death was tragic- a drug overdose now being seen as homicide. The world was shocked beyond words as he was expected to perform shortly, after a long break. Fans followed every bit of news and were with him on his last journey though the final rites were performed privately.
