How many kinds of apples are there?
Apple is one of the earliest fruits raised by man. Even 2,000 years ago, many varieties of apples were available in Europe. Apple growers experiment to grow new varieties. In the UK alone, there are over 2,000 kinds of apples. By grafting and fertilizing the blossoms, apple farmers have succeeded in cross-breeding different kinds of apples.
