Essay on “A Robbery”
I had a terrifying experience yesterday. Dad and I were standing in a queue at the bank. Suddenly, three men rushed in. they were waving guns. The men shouted at all of us to lie down on the floor. We all did what they said. I was so frightened! One of the men pointed the gun at us as we lay on the floor. Everyone lay very still. The other two men were over at the bank counter. They were pointing their guns at the bank staff and ordered them to put all the money in their bags. One of the men grabbed the bags of money and ran to the door. The other two kept pointing their guns at us. Then they, too, made for the door. They ran backward, still pointing their guns. They shouted on us to stay still. We did. Before they got to the door some policemen rushed in. We were so pleased to see them! They made the men stand against the wall and took their guns. They were replica guns, but we had all thought that they were real. The policemen handcuffed the robbers and led them away. We heard later that one of the bank staff had secretly pressed the alarm bell. Thank goodness! All were safe.
