Autobiography of A Soldier
The soldier is someone who has joined the army. An army is a large group of people who fight on land. Soldiers fight against enemies of their country. Wars are not common in most countries as they once were. Still, countries have to have armies to defend them in case they are invaded by an enemy. Nowadays, countries also need their soldiers to fight against terrorists. When soldiers join up they start a hard training course. The person in charge of training is a segment major. Soldiers learn a lot of different things during their training. It is important that soldiers are very strong and fit. They are shown how to do a lot of physical exercises to get them fit. They then have to take part in a lot of tests to show that they are strong enough to be soldiers. Soldiers are also taught how to use weapons. Most of them hope they will never have to kill anyone. If their country is involved in a war, they might have to do this. They would have to defend themselves. When soldiers join the army they know that they might face danger. We should be proud of them for making our country safe.
