Is society paying enough attention to peace education?
Education is valued highly by society throughout a wide range of fields, but peace education is frequently disregarded. In order for people and groups to prevent, manage, and resolve conflicts without resorting to violence, people and groups must go through a process known as peace education. This process involves learning the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to do so. Even though it is essential to building a more peaceful and just society, it is not frequently covered in the classroom or prioritised by the general public.
Some contend that the underfunding of peace education stems from the perception that it is secondary or insignificant to other courses like math and physics. The growth of the individual and the community, however, depends on education in peace as much as in any other topic.
