Essay on “The School Fete”
Last Sunday our school organised the Annual Fete. There were a lot of different stalls at the fete. You could buy various things and take part in competitions. My Dad won a prize at the hoopla stall. There are a lot of objects on a hoopla stall. People throw large rings at the objects. If a ring goes round one of the objects, the person who throws the ring gets the object as a prize. Mum asked Dad to try and get a teddy bear for my little sister. Dad threw quite a lot of rings before he got one round the teddy bear. He spent a lot of money. He said that it would have been cheaper to buy a bear. Dad also entered the father’s race. He didn’t do very well. My friend Ravi’s father was last. He was fooling around and he fell over. Everyone laughed. Ravi was so ashamed. The race was won by Amit’s dad. He jogs every morning.
