The Happiest Day Of My Holidays

School was closed for winter holidays. I was sitting in my room all alone, wondering what to do. I was feeling very lonely. My friends were away with their parents to enjoy their holidays. While I was thinking of spending holidays and having fun, an idea clicked in my mind of visiting a local new mall that was inaugurated last month. I convinced my mother to take me to the mall. She soon agreed.

I love visiting different malls. The mall is a place where people shop, eat and have lot of fun. With the coming up of malls, days of picnicking with family and friends are almost gone. As many people are short of time, they look for entertainment, food and shopping all at one place. Thus, malls make a suitable outlet to shop and pass few hours.

My mom and I visited the Olympia Mall. I found that it was amongst the most happening malls in the city. As we entered the mall, I was surprised. It was by far the largest shopping place I had ever seen. The mall was packed with people as it was a holiday season. There was a big line at the center of the mall for the kids that wanted to get their picture taken with Santa Claus.

There were so many shops of different kinds. People roamed around. We went from store to store of our interest. It was quite noisy inside but it all just seemed amazing to me. Everyone there was dressed well, since it was Christmas time. There were food centres and multiplex cinema. Everything was under one roof. My mother shopped eagerly for monthly provisions. We now moved on to purchase some decorative items and clothes for Christmas.

I was enjoying my day. However, shopping always makes me hungry. We now moved on towards the food centres. My sister and I ate pizzas. My mother took chilled coke and a burger. Food usually makes one lazy. We needed some rest for a while. Therefore, we chose to see an animated movie at the multiplex in the mall. It was an adventurous movie.

After the movie was over, we decided to continue shopping. Shopping had just begun to get better. This time we shopped for sports shoes and some accessories for daddy. We also saw a sweet store that had assorted range of candies and toffees to offer. They were in the shapes of dolls and animals.

Soon enough, it was the time for us to return home. Until now, we had quite a few carry bags. We boarded a cool cab and happily returned home. Visiting such a place was an enjoyable and wonderful experience. It was the happiest day of my holidays.
