Story Writing

What is a story? It is a bunch of ideas wove4 interestingly together. The ideas are sometimes original. Most times the ideas are borrowed but it is the way they are presented that makes them different. If you are planning on writing a story look around for ideas. It could be a funny quote, a queer aunt, an incident that occurred at the playground. Think about your favorite stories. You can borrow from them as well. Jot down all your ideas and then begin to weave a story with your ideas. Brainstorm!

Types of Stories

Stories are broadly classified into the following:

1. Short story: As the name suggests is short, shorter than a novel, narrative or a tale.
2. Novel: This is a long fictional story which has a complex plot. It paints many characters, emotions, events.
3. Epic: This is mostly a story of some great historical hero and usually relates to a period in time.
4. 4. Drama: It tells a story by means of dialogue and action performed by the actors. There are comedy dramas and there are tragedy dramas.

There are different types of stories. There are fairy tales, horror stories, science fiction, love stories, war stories and more.
