Anyone can be Clever
A beggar, standing in front of a house, asked for alms. A young lady came out of the house. Seeing the man she commented, “You seem to be able-bodied and healthy. You must be strong enough to work.”
The beggar thought for a moment and delivered a fitting response. On hearing his remark, the young lady, much pleased, gave him generous alms.
