Creating Awareness About Harmful Effects Of Plastic Bags

We the students of Delzonian International Educational Academy performed mini street play recently to bring awareness about the harmful effects of plastic bags and packets on health and environment. In the lush green background of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, we studying in standard Xth presented our act to the individuals present there.

We performed a play that alerted people against widespread plastic usage. We started addressing the people not to litter their surroundings and neighbourhood with plastic bags. We tried to explain them the harmful effects of using plastic on the environment and mother Earth.

The other group of students joined in gradually as the group advanced to convince the audience about the various problems plastic bags can create. They displayed different posters encouraging people to stop using plastic bags.

With the solutions of how to decrease the use of plastic, we climaxed our street play. In the end, the audience comprising adults, teenagers, children and senior citizens joined us in taking the oath of decreasing the use of plastic. We realised the fact that our message was being successfully conveyed to people. We started gaining positive feedback from the spectators.

A few people voiced their opinions about the harmful effects of plastic and the measures they would take to prevent its use. They also forwarded certain suggestions to cut down the use of plastic. Over a period of last fifteen days, we had made nearly hundred cloth bags with our school logo printed on it. We proudly distributed them among people.

Finally, the audience thanked us for our efforts and the awareness we tried to spread amongst them.
