How I Spent My Summer Vacation

A student works throughout the year. When he gets bored, he longs for holidays. He wants fun and gaiety. Summer vacation gives him the much needed relief. Some students go to visit their relatives during summer vacation. Others organise trips to hill-stations. Still others like to undertake long tours. During last summer I visited a number of places.

My uncle lives in New Delhi. I decided to spend some holidays with him. My cousins too were free. I went to New Delhi by Shatabdi Express. My cousins had come to the station to receive. They took me home in their car. My uncle and aunt were very happy to see me. They kissed me on the forehead. My stay with them was indeed enjoyable. They showed me the Red Fort, Jama Masjid amd Rashtarpati Bhawan. Then one day we decided to go to Agra.

We went to Agra by car. The journey was very pleasant. We reached Agra at about 11 a.m. Agra is a historical place. It is famous for The Taj. We went straight to the spot. The Taj is made of white marble. It was built by Shahjahan on the bank of river Jamuna. It is a symbol of true love. Many foreigners had come to see it. After seeing the Taj we paid a visit to Fatehpur Sikri. We returned to Delhi after a couple of days.

I stayed in Delhi for a week more. During these days we saw several movies. One day we went to see an old friend of mine. He received us with open arms. We refreshed our old memories. We took our di with him. We returned home quite late at night. After having a g time, I caught the train and reached home safe and sound. In this way spent my summer vacation joyfully.
