I love history class

Mr. Dave our history teacher makes history class really special. History used to bore me earlier but that was before Mr. Dave came to teach us. Mr. Dave makes us enact history right there in the middle of our classroom.

Every month he picks up one chapter and converts it in to a little play. Every day, at the end of the period, we practice the play for fifteen minutes. This week my class did the chapter “Coronation of Shivaji” and I got to play Shivaji. I had a long speech, and I quickly memorized it. At the end of the month, I realized how easy it was to remember the long answer on Shivaji’s coronation simply because I had memorized it for the play.

I love history because each chapter is a new story and it transports me back in to time when there were kings and queens.
