Karaoke

My first experience at Karaoke was Friday night at Willington Club. We were celebrating Mom and Dad’s wedding anniversary and Dad wanted to surprise Mom.

We were having starters when suddenly they asked if anyone would like to participate in the Karaoke.

While we were wondering what Karaoke was Dad Signaled to them that he was game.

The lights dimmed and suddenly our attention was drawn to the screen in the middle of the hall. A familiar tune started playing and before we knew it we heard Dad pelting out ‘I just called to say I love you’. Dad sang like a rock star as Mom tried hard not to blush. Lyrics were displayed on the video screen while Dad read and used the microphone to sing and accompanying music minus the actual lead song played through the music system. What a treat it was and Mom glowed like a 1000 bulbs that night and at the end of the evening Mom not to be outdone by Dad decided to karaoke ‘The Power of Love’.
