Mom’s terrace garden
My mom is very fond of plants. Since we live in an apartment which has an adjoining terrace, she decided to convert the terrace into the garden.
Mom has a green thumb. Anything and everything will thrive in her loving care. Forty pots in rows often line our terrace garden. There are red, orange and pink shoe flowers. Roses in different colours give the garden colour and fragrance. There is a tulsi plant in the centre of the garden. One corner of the garden houses the vegetables. Mom grows fenugreek, curry leaves, and green peppers. Most of our neighbours come to ask us for curry leaves.
Mom waters the plants every day and I pick up all the dead leaves and flowers. Many people crossing the street stop and glance at our roses. Mom’s beautiful garden is the pride of our apartment.
