Watching the night sky

Every night after dinner, for half an hour before we go to bed, Dad sits with us on the terrace and all of us watch the sky together. We love watching the sky through Dad’s telescope. The night sky is beautiful, like a big navy blanket studded with glittering diamonds. Mostly we watch the moon through the telescope. The moon looks awesome and it’s the easiest to watch because it’s there every day and you don’t have to look for it. It is cream in colour with a grey background. It has mountains and craters and it looks different every day. We love watching it shrink to no moon and enlarge to full moon. The stars seem, close enough to pluck out from the night sky.

I love watching the night sky because it’s full of surprises and every day you get to see a different scene.
