My friend Ganesha

My friend Ganesha’ is my favourite movie and its story revolves around an eight-year-old boy Ashu and his family which includes his father Aaditya, his mother Aarti and his father’s sister Aditi and the maid Gangubai.

Ashu’s parents are very busy; they have no time for him. Gangubai keeps him company. One day Ashu saves a mouse from drowning and brings him home. Gangubai tells him he has done a noble thing by saving Lord Ganesha’s pet ride. Gangubai narrates to Ashu the story of Lord Ganesha and his mouse Mushkaraj. Ashu’s family is going through some crisis and Ashu begins to wish for a friend and Gangubai tells him that he can make Lord Ganesha his friend.

Coincidentally, it is the time of the Ganesha festival and Gangubai convinces everyone to bring Ganesha home. Ganesha comes into their home and things start improving for Ashu’s family. During Ganesha’s stay of eleven days at Ashu’s home, he and Ashu together solve the problems of the family. Ashu finds a true friend in Ganesha.
