Registering For an IELTS Test Is Easy
- Check with your organization or on the Global Recognition System whether you need to take an Academic or General Training Test.
- Find the nearest IELTS centre and check for the test dates to find two options that best suit you. Make note of the deadline for registering for each test date. Check for the cost of the test at your centre in local currency on the IELTS Worldwide Search.
- Print out the IELTS Application form or pick a copy from the test centre. Read the instructions on the form careful before completing the form and signing it. Make sure you have a valid postal address and use the same name as on your passport.
- You will need two identical passport-sized color photographs, less than six months old signed at the back. Remember you must not wear glasses in the application photographs. A photocopy of the applicant’s current passport which is valid and not expired needs to be submitted along with the filled up form.
- If the applicant wishes that the results of the test be sent automatically to a university or educational institution, these details must be filled in the appropriate section of the Applications form.
- The applicant then has to take the application to the IELTS centre along with the money. Once the applicant has registered, the test centre will confirm his/her test date, time and venue. The Speaking test could be up to 7 days before or after the test date.
