The Joys Of Spring
All of a sudden, the gray landscape bursts into a palette of colors. The chirping of the birds, the sprouting of tulips all herald that spring is finally here to ring out the cold and ring in the warmth. Spring is the season of change. It is the season of new beginnings and the season of letting go and living up. Spring comes in and washes out the cold dreariness of winter with it’s golden warmth. Everywhere you look, you see renewed hope.
What was once a barren tree, now burgeons with life. Lazy bees drift around from one flower to the next sipping nectar. Oldies sit out in their rocking chairs and celebrate the warmth of another glorious spring. Children play, running around barefoot, the sun on their beaming faces and the velvet green grass under their feet. The joy of being alive; that is what spring is about. The squirrels scamper and the rabbits scurry. God’s creations revel in spring’s vernal glory. Red, blue, yellow, orange; numerous colors dot the gardens. The air is filled with the fragrance of these colorful flowers. Clumps of daffodils spill over the sidewalk putting a spring in even the tired postmaster’s walk.
Spring is the season of rejoicing, the season of celebrating, the season of revival, the season of hope, the season of change. So every Spring, make an effort to live in the present and not in the past. Make way for the future. Take time to smell the roses and listen to the song of the cuckoo bird for the joys of spring are for those who are ready to immerse themselves in the present.
