How did baby kangaroos get the name, ‘Joey’?
A Kangaroos are found mostly in Australia. The aborigines or native Australians used to call the baby kangaroos ‘joeys’. After the British settlers arrived in Australia they also began to use the same word, spelling it the way it sounded in English.
